Mario Botta (1943 geboren) studierte in Venedig Architektur bei Carlo Scarpa und erffnete 1970 sein eigenes Bro in Lugano. Heute reicht seine Ttigkeit bis in die Vereinigten Staaten und den Fernen Osten. Weltberhmt geworden ist Mario Botta durch seine zahlreichen Villen im Tessin: khl-elegante Bauten, die, oft an exponierter Lage situiert, einen spannungsvollen Dialog mit der Landschaft aufnehmen. Este texto está dirigido a estudiantes de Diseño y Arquitectura, y de básica secundaria. Su propósito es mostrar las aplicaciones de la proporción en la escala y el diseño de escaleras y rampas, la aplicación de las funciones trigonométricas en las coordenadas solares ( rumbo y acimut) y, finalmente, algunas aplicaciones de los vectores y la operación suma. La mayoria de las aplicaciones presentadas en el libro están relacionadas con situaciones de la vida cotidiana, las cuales permiten establecer conexiones entre los temas y el mundo real.

This volume features 25 architectural works constructed in Chile by architect Valdés between 1963 and 2007. It also comprises a series of texts that the author gathered after several conversations with the architect from 2001 to 2006, in a first-hand account of the creative process established by the architect about design, material, construction and space.

Describes the degree and license mechanisms for the professional practice of architecture in Peru from the first courses in the 19th century through the beginning of the 20th century, with a detailed presentation of the school formation of the architects from 1910 to 1950 in the School of Engineering of the university. The book was originally the author's masters thesis and won the prize "Héctor Velarde" during the XI Bienal Nacional de Arquitectura, organized in 2004 by CAP.
