Tom Raines is a rebellious teen with not much direction or future. Abandoned by his mother, he lives with father and ekes out a living playing online games. Thanks to his gaming ability, he is offered a chance to attend an elite military academy. Tom thinks he will finally have friends and a purpose to his life, but what will he have to give up in return?

Alejo was a generous, selfless boy; he always lent people whatever they needed, without hesitation. Why has he become so stingy lately? He doesn't lend anything to anyone anymore--not his friends, not his classmates, not even his little brother. Something happens to Alejo that helps him understand that nothing is enjoyable unless it can be shared with others.
