Despite its suggestive name, the little town of Windy Port is perfectly peaceful. You'll find no violence or intolerance there. What you will find, though, are the most diverse types of inhabitants, among them a tapir cub that learns to speak and act like a human, thanks to the friendship of an extraordinary boy and girl.
