Figuras, formas, colores

Es difícil hablar del románico y del gótico como de dos estilos distintos y perfectamente separables en el espacio y en el tiempo. Si el problema de transición de un estilo al inmediatamente posterior siempre presenta arduos obstáculos cronológicos y estéticos, en el caso del románico y el gótico los obstáculos se multiplican considerablemente. Los dos estilos conviven, se entrecruzan y superponen hasta tal punto, que muchas veces es difícil clasificar ciertas obras. Por ello nos hemos visto obligados a insertar una serie especialmente dedicada a los ejemplos de transición.
