Are the witches as ugly as we are told in stories and as we see in pictures? And what of the fairies, those beautiful ladies? Are they really so sweet and so thin? The issue is not so clear. Is it possible, for example, that outer appearances fool us all? The issue is something dark and there are opinions for every taste. Perhaps this book will settle the matter, finally revealing the secrets of witches with their hats, their warts, and those horrible mustaches that both frighten us and make for an exquisite tale.

The adventures of eight-year-old Rita come to life in this extraordinary, interactive series of augmented reality books. After installing a simple computer program that is included on the accompanying CD-ROM, children use their webcams to reveal three different three-dimensional animations in each book. In the first, Rita introduces the adventure on which kids are about to embark.
