In this book we have sought to open a window on today's highly innovative hotels by showcasing some particularly attractive examples from all over the world. All the hotels that we have gathered together are united by a quest for up-to-date design aimed at providing a welcome for business travelers or tourists.

This volume features 25 architectural works constructed in Chile by architect Valdés between 1963 and 2007. It also comprises a series of texts that the author gathered after several conversations with the architect from 2001 to 2006, in a first-hand account of the creative process established by the architect about design, material, construction and space.
