La arquitectura doméstica cartagenera de los períodos colonial y republicano ha sido objeto de estudios que, separadamente, han mostrado sus características particulares. Un estudio comparado de tipologías de vivienda de los dos períodos no se había realizado previamente. Este libro presenta los resultados de una investigación orientada específicamente a entender las semejanzas y diferencias entre las viviendas de esos dos períodos, dirigida por el arquitecto Francisco Angulo Guerra. Él y su equipo de colaboradores desarrollaron un minucioso trabajo entre 2005 y 2007 con el apoyo de la Dirección de Investigaciones de la Universidad Jorge.
