Es una crónica sobre la política colombiana durante el siglo XX desarrollada con un hilo narrativo conducido a través de todos los presidentes y sus ejecutorias, pero contada del presente hacia el pasado. Comienza con la presidencia de Andrés Pastrana en los albores del siglo XXI y termina con la de Manuel Antonio Sanclemente al final del siglo XIX.

Egrégores o la vida de las civilizaciones es un recorrido por las distintas civilizaciones, centrándose en el análisis de una, la civilización cristiana, que da cuerpo a toda la evolución social de Occidente y de la que prevé su próxima disgregación originada ya en el siglo XVI. A la civilización cristiana que nos ha conducido a un mundo inhabitable le sucederá otra capaz de instaurar un mundo por fin humano.
