El Diccionario de la Real Academia Española (DRAE), en su más reciente edición1, define epónimo (del gr. ἐπώνυμος): "1. adj. Se dice del nombre de una persona o de un lugar que designa un pueblo, una época, una enfermedad, una unidad, etc." Este "etcétera" implica que los epónimos no sólo se aplican a enfermedades y síndromes, sino también a signos, síntomas, reacciones fisiológicas, tratamientos, intervenciones quirúrgicas, maniobras diagnósticas, posiciones, instrumental médico, términos anatómicos, reactivos, análisis, microorganismos y anticuerpos, entre otros....

La propuesta de estas páginas es pensar ese método de trabajo museográfico/curatorial y contribuir con un posible orden para diseñar cada parte del montaje de una exposición. Muchas veces tenemos una idea, un concepto, una imagen, que sentimos fuerte y que queremos llevar al espacio museográfico, como si esta transición de la mente y el papel fuera un paso natural y fácil... algo que cualquiera puede hacer. En verdad no es imposible, pero sí requiere de un método, de un orden para ejecutar la tarea con éxito. La propuesta de estas páginas es pensar ese método de trabajo...
