Para ningún historiador es fácil tratar el tema de Simón Bolívar. No es sencillo aproximarse a él con ánimo desprevenido e imparcial y, por otro lado, quien lo quiera utilizar para fines políticos encontrará en sus múltiples escritos la fuente para sustentar sus propias tesis.
