THE EXCLUSIVE SINNER

Sinopsis del Libro

Libro THE EXCLUSIVE SINNER

This is a story of a boy raised in an extreme ultra-strict Protestant family, members of “the Exclusive Brethren”. From an early age, James found he was at war with his family and the Brethren. Nothing that would be considered normal was acceptable. This book details his experiences growing up in this family, showing his struggles and confusions. It tells of the Brethren’s involvement in his love affair and how the family put an end to his marriage because he had slept with his fiancée. It outlines his escape from the Brethren while he was working in a large London hospital. The book is a fascinating account of how other people live, depicting life in a hospital and the main character’s work as a district nurse. The Exclusive Sinner is an exceptional story.

''Toda la vida de José Iturriaga —escribe Munguía— está íntimamente relacionada con los acontecimientos fundamentales de la historia del país, cuando no del mundo''. Autor de una de las obras pioneras de la sociología en nuestro país, La estructura social y cultural de México, que habría...

Libro Diarios Indios

Collected here are journal entries culled from 18 notebooks that Allen Ginsberg kept during the 1950s and early 1960s, when he and his fellow Beat poets led an insurrection that profoundly altered the American literary and cultural landscapes. The diary notes, dreams, poems, reflections, and thoughts included in this book intimately illuminate Ginsberg's travels and his mental journeys. They reveal conversations with William Carlos Williams, drug experiences, a chance meeting with Dylan Thomas, stays in Mexico and the cities of San Francisco and New York, first impressions of Naked Lunch,...

Libro Vida y aventuras del màs c?lebre bandido sonorense JoaquÕn Murrieta

Here is the dime-novelesque biography of the most infamous bandit in the history of the West, for decades a source of fear and legend in the newly founded state of California. To both Mexicans and Indians, Murrieta became a symbol of resistance to the displacement and oppression visited on them in the wake of the Mexican-American War (1846-1848), particularly by the ñForty-Ninersî who flooded into the region during the California gold rush. In his introduction, literary critic Luis Leal has researched and written the first definitive history of the Murrieta legend in its various...
