Para los mapuche su referencia geográfica es el Este, lugar donde nace el sol. Desde aquí debemos situarnos para comenzar a mirar y comprender el mundo y la vida en él. Para ellos, el territorio fundamento de su existencia: es vida, espiritualidad, pasado y presente, yo en los otros.

La historia de la investigación llevada a cabo por Agustín Penón sobre la figura de Federico García Lorca y las oscuras circunstancias que rodearon su muerte, es una larga historia. Conocí a Agustín Penón y a William Layton cuando llegaron a Granada en 1955, en los días en que se estaba ensayando La Celestina por un teatro de cámara, formado casi en su totalidad por estudiantes, del que yo formaba parte.
